If you receive the error message 0x80070002 during the Task Sequence, this may mean that the download of the package did not go well due to:
- Network Access Account is not configured properly;
- Slow network connection;
- Lack of ISS components on the site server.
If the problem occurs due to a slow network connection, an extra step containing two variables can be added to the task sequence to prevent this.
Check the smsts.log file:

Add the next step:

Task Sequence Variable: SMSTSDownloadRetryCount
Value: 5
